This series is based on flying dreams that I have collected from over two hundred people of all ages and walks of life. “Tabitha Vevers [is] an artist who uses the tropes and techniques of art history to tell cunningly contemporary yet timeless stories. Inspired by traditional eye miniatures, a genre of portrait jewelry that became the height of fashion in the Georgian era, Vevers embraces historic painting techniques to create contemporary, jewel-like eye portraits in oil on Ivorine.
